Dina Abu-Rahmeh

Chief Executive Officer
Dina will be the first international student to serve as Chief Executive Officer for the 2019/20 session for the Student Managed Fund. Hailing from Amman, Jordan, Dina is a rising fourth year Global Business student and was previously the Head of Women in Business in 2018/19. As the head of WIB, Dina launched the first Female Mentorship Programme that runs within the SMF. Dina previously held the roles of Sector Manager for both Consumer Staples and Basic Materials. In 2017/18, Dina won the Davy Pitch of the Year competition and represented Trinity College in the CFA Equity Research Competition in 2018. Dina completed internships at Davy in the equities division, Credit Suisse, Amman Cairo Bank, and will be joining the Investment Banking Division at J.P. Morgan this summer. In her free time, Dina enjoys engaging in theatre arts and sailing.

Chief Investment Officer
Aaron is a Senior Freshman student studying Business & Economics and joins the fund as Chief Investment Officer for the 2019/2020 session. He has previously served as Sector Manager within the Transport & Industrials sector along as an analyst in the Consumer Discretionary sector. Aaron was part of the CFA Global Investment Research Challenge team that represented Trinity in February 2019 and was a finalist in the annual Davy Individual Pitching Competition along with winning Sector Pitch of the Year. Over the summer, Aaron completed internships in Davy Private Clients where he worked across various departments including global investment selection and investment strategy and also AIB where he worked in areas including corporate finance and syndicated international finance within their Corporate and Institutional Banking department.

Kerrie is a final year Law and Business Student at Trinity College Dublin. She looks forward to the opportunities and challenges in her role as Chief Operating Officer of the Trinity Student Managed Fund for the 2019/20 academic year. Kerrie completed an internship in the audit department at KPMG and worked as a corporate credit analyst for Guggenheim Partners in Dublin this summer. She first got involved with Trinity SMF in her second year of college as an analyst in the Financial Banks Sector. Returning from her semester abroad in the USA during her third year of studies, Kerrie got involved with the SMF again as an analyst in both the Macro and Consumer Discretionary Sectors. Additionally, Kerrie was involved with the Women in Business Committee and Mentoring Programme for the 2018/19 academic year. When not attending college and SMF events, Kerrie also has a keen interest in sports, including playing for the college Netball team, and balances her part-time job in a Retail Department Store in Dublin.

Conor is a Senior Sophister Business & Economics (BESS) student and joins the Fund as CFO for the 2019/2020 session. He has developed an interest in financial markets via his involvement in the SMF and has previously held the role of Financial Sector Analyst. He enjoys the accounting aspect of his course, which has led him to intern in the KPMG tax department. Connor was the Head Prefect of St. Vincent’s Castleknock College, Business Manager of Trinity News and looks forward to commencing a new challenge within the SMF. Outside of college life, Connor enjoys travelling and has recently returned from an exchange at the University of Queensland.

Kieran is a final year Global Business student in Trinity College Dublin. Having just returned from a semester abroad in Canada, Kieran was also a part of the Women in Business Committee in 2018/2019 and acted as an analyst in the Basic Materials sector. Kieran will serve as the first secretary of the Trinity Student Managed Fund. Kieran has completed a finance internship with LogMeIn and worked in KPMG’s management consulting department for the summer.

Alex is a Junior Sophister Mathematics and Economics student and joins the fund as Chief Macroeconomist for the 2019/20 session. He has previously held roles as an analyst in the Energy sector and Deputy Chief of the Macro sector. He has interned in Allianz in their pricing team and has a very keen interest in oil and protein.

Andrew is a Junior Sophister Mathematics & Economics student and is an Investment Officer for the 2018/19 Session. He was previously an Analyst and Sector Manager in the Financial (Banks) Sector. Andrew has represented Trinity College in the CFA Equity Research Challenge and has competed in both the Rotman European Trading Competition and Rotman International Trading Competition. He was also a finalist in the annual Davy Pitching Competition during his first year with the fund. Outside of finance and investment, Andrew has a keen interest in aviation and sport.

Erika is a Senior Freshman Pure Mathematics student and joins the fund as Investment Officer for the 2019/2020 session. She has previously held analyst and Sector Manager roles within the Communications sector of the SMF. Erika has a keen interest in financial markets, especially in furthering her career in the trading sector. As well as being involved in the investment side of the SMF, Erika is involved with the Women in Business Committee which organises a mentorship programme and Women in Business Conference. Outside of finance, Erika has an avid love for environmental conservation and has volunteered on a wildlife reserve in South Africa.

Public Relations Officer
Robert Riley Dargan is a Junior Sophister History student and joins the Fund as PRO for the 2019/2020 session. His previous experience in public relations coming both from his time as an intern within KENZO’s press department as well as from holding the position of Entertainment officer for Trinity Fashion Society. Robert has a keen interest in both business and fashion. He has worked as the flagship store suit specialist for Hugo Boss and worked with Value Retail for the Summer. Apart from the SMF Robert participates in a variety of activities having both represented Switzerland for the European championships in rugby and performed as a solo singer in the national concert hall.

Lucinda is a senior fresh Mathematics and Economics student and joins the committee for 2019/20 as the Head of Publications. She was previously an analyst and senior analyst in the SMF in the Industrials and Financials sectors respectively. Lucinda has had previous experience interning in asset management and in sales and trading. She joined a boutique asset management firm in Boston for the summer of 2019 and will join the Securities Division of Goldman Sachs for the summer of 2020. Outside of finance, Lucinda show jumps competitively every weekend.

Michael is a Senior Freshman Management Science and Information Systems Studies (MSISS) student and joins the Fund as Head of Alternative Investments for the 2019/20 session. He is also the Financials (Banks) sector manager having previously held the role of analyst. Last year, Michael was the Coordinator of the SMF’s first Fintech Conference. He joined Positive Equity this summer as an intern. Outside of Finance, Michael has a keen interest in sport, in particular rugby and tennis.

Emma-Louise Ruane is a final year Management Science and Information Systems Studies student. Emma-Louise joined in the SMF in 2017 as an Analyst in the Basic Materials Sector. Last year, she was the Chief Risk Officer of the fund. Next year she will be filling the role of the head of the new Trading Division of the SMF. In first year, Emma-Louise completed an internship with Intel as a Product Development Engineer Intern, and last year spent the summer working as a Quantitative Trader Intern with Susquehanna International Group (SIG) here in Dublin. This summer she joined the Sales and Trading division of Morgan Stanley in London as a Summer Intern.

Jack is a rising Senior Sophister Computer Science & Business student. Jack has previously served as the Chief Investment Officer of the fund in 2018/19 and both the CTO and the Technology Sector Manager in the 2017/18 session. Jack was on the winning Sector Pitch of the year teams in both 2017 & 2018 and represented the University in the CFA Research challenge in 2017/18. Jack now brings his wealth of knowledge to this new role to improve financial literacy amongst Trinity students. Jack previously interned as a Research Analyst at Islandbridge Capital which operates a Long/Short EU Opportunities Fund. Outside of technology and finance, Jack’s passions include both rugby & swimming.
